ZeEUS Plzen demo - the bus is on its way!
Two full electric, emission-free and quiet buses will begin a trial in full operational service from the beginning of spring next year in Plzen. However, the introduction of the first battery-powered electric bus Škoda Perun has already taken place last week with the help of the partners: Škoda, University of West Bohemia, Plzenske Mestske Dopravni Podniky AS and Plzenska Teplarenska AS. The vehicles represent the most advanced technology with a unique cooling and heating system that can re-use the heat generated during operation. Moreover, their battery can be fully recharged in as little as 12 minutes.
The event was enriched with speeches given to the public and stakeholders by Mr. Martin Baxa, Mayor of Plzen; Dr. Ilona Mauritzová, Rectress of UWB; Mr. Jaromír Šilhánek, Škoda CEO; Mr. Tomás Drápela, PT CEO; Mr. Michal Kraus, PMDP CEO and Pavel Kuch, Plzen Demo Manager (Škoda).
