ZeEUS – Zero Emission Urban Bus System

Bringing electrification to the heart of the urban bus network

Call for Observed Demonstrations

Published on

As part of the ZeEUS project, UITP will operate an Electric Bus Observatory which will closely follow electric bus deployment worldwide and publish all collected information and data. This activity will help provide the entire stakeholder spectrum with the global picture of the worldwide electric bus market. In the near future, several other pilots and demonstrations about electric buses will take place, and through the ZeEUS Observatory, these initiatives and projects will be able to contribute to key ZeEUS outputs and activities.

Electric bus demonstrations and pilots funded by other European and National programmes can apply to become an Observed Demonstration.

Selected Observed demos will be invited to periodic meetings with all other selected Observed Demonstrations to join a forum of discussion and provide key input to some core ZeEUS outputs, namely the ZeEUS Electrification Roadmap. They will also provide regular information about how their demo is progressing and will feature in the annual Observatory Electric Bus Publication. Moreover, once a year the ZeEUS Electric Bus Form will take place in Brussels, where selected Observed Demonstrations will be invited to present their demo to a wide range of stakeholders.

Periodically, some Observed Demonstrations will be invited to become a ‘Monitored Demonstration’ for a defined length of time that will further actively participate in ZeEUS by applying defined Key Performance Indicators, used in the ZeEUS project to support our evaluation of electric bus systems.

To apply to become an Observed Demonstration please submit an official letter of interest, complete the Information Collection Doc and return the two documents to Ms. Stephanie Leonard at stephanie.leonard@uitp.org, by 31st October, 2014.
