The ZeEUS project has just participated at the 2014 Annual Polis Conference which took place in Madrid from the 27 – 28 November 2014. The conference was also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Polis. Regarded as one of the leading sustainable mobility events for European cities, the event brought together a wide range of stakeholder groups to discuss and exchange on a number of different thematic topics in urban transport. The ZeEUS project was presented in a dedicated session on ‘innovative and clean bus systems’. It included an introduction by Stephanie Leonard who gave a general overview of the project. The main part of the presentation was delivered by Jonas Ericson from Stockholms läns landsting who gave a detailed case study on the Stockholm demonstration. The presentation included information about the partners of the demo, the line that will be used and why it was selected, the vehicle and charging system that will be used and the inauguration of the bus system in Stockholm fair last November.

The other members of the panel gave presentations on electric bus systems from the viewpoints of different stakeholders including ABB, TNO, Government of Catalonia and 3iBS, another European bus project coordinated by UITP.
